Contemporary Turkish Studies at a Glance

Contemporary Turkish Studies at a glance – Topics, institutions and future perspectives
The two-day conference gave scholars and institutions involved in Turkish Studies the chance to present their work, position themselves in the international research community and debate related topics and research questions in an interdisciplinary environment. The event was framed by key-note speeches by some of the most prestigious scholars in the field. Furthermore, in four different panels, chaired by renowned experts, central issues and research questions of Turkish Studies were discussed. In preparation of the event the chairpersons determined a general topic framing the presentations and discussions in the panel. The topics were announced in a Call for Papers. The most innovative and outstanding papers were presented during the event. Each day finished with a round table discussion wrapping up the outcome of the panels. On the sidelines of the event organizations, journals and other actors engaged with Turkish Studies set up stands to exhibit their work and publications.
